Requirements
“What does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to
walk humbly with your God?”
Micah 6:8
I love this scripture because it clearly and simply explains what the Lord wants
from us. Rather than giving us a long list of rules and regulations, it presents His
requirements in a way that anyone can understand.
This verse highlights three important callings:
• Do justice — to do what is right and follow what God shows us in His Word.
• Love kindness — to treat others with kindness, even when it is difficult or not
returned in the way we hope.
• Walk humbly with God — to remember that we have no reason to boast,
because God is the one who guides and directs our lives.
When we put God first and place nothing above Him, we open our hearts to His
guidance and blessing. Following these requirements helps us understand what
God desires and the blessings that come from obedience.

many things. Thank You for this scripture, which so simply explains what You
truly require of me.
